Nicolette E. Drotos
Nicolette aspires to insure that the sacred principal that a defendant is innocent until proven guilty does not fall to the wayside. This goal has motivated her to pursue her career with Hiltner Law. A law firm that focuses on criminal and constitutional law and fighting for the rights of the accused.
Even from a young age, Nicolette has had a passion for criminal law. After graduating the University of Akron with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a minor in Conflict Management she went on to pursue her passion for criminal law at the Akron University School of Law.
While at the Akron University School of Law Nicolette was on the nationally recognized Trial Team where she gained mock trial experience and refined her craft of trying cases and talking to juries. While honing her trial skills she had the opportunity to work at the Legal Defenders Office as a Certified Legal Intern, representing indigent defendants.
As a Certified Legal Intern Nicolette gained valuable experience as a criminal defense attorney successfully defending clients on everything ranging from dismissals to successful trial hearings and trials. During her time at the Legal Defenders Office Nicolette saw how the criminal system often mistreated those charged with a crime; this pushed her to pursue her career as a criminal defense attorney and lead her to Hiltner Law.
